Guitar playing while babysitting!!!

So I know that a lot of you are sitting at your desk or office space...or whatever and reading this and I'm sitting at Ross and Tricia's desk typing this...so that makes me no more different than you right?...WRONG....what makes me so special is that I an eating one of the most incredible things EVER...a huge slice of strawberry cheesecake...my FAVORITE desert and Tricia made it, and it is soooooo good.See Most parents know that after about 20 minutes of a child's screaming you start to feel the emotion I show in the picture above...lol...well...Not with me.(this was a staged pose...Sofia did not scream for 20 minutes lol.)

I mean sure Sofia will cry...any baby does...but seeing her express all her other emotions helps me get through anything she can dish out...which seems to be more and more smiles everyday!

At the end of the day...I don't regret babysitting even if I did have a baby throw up all over me once...but that's not the point...I love kids...and I know that they love me too!

So tonight while Sofia snoozed in her swing...I played this guitar...who belongs to Ross. She's a beauty.

I took her out for a spin outside on their deck and recorded some videos of me playing...you'll find those by scrolling on down this page.

At the end of the day, when my stomach's full of cheesecake and Sofia's smiling in her sleep...I know my job is done.

"My mom is hot!"

Today, Tricia brought little Miss Sofia over to our house today so I could spend some time with her and so Tricia could go have some time to herself and get her hair done. It was my pleasure! I do have a few pictures to share and a couple videos of Sofia eating and a video of Sofia and Tricia on the recliner. And because my last post was put up just yesterday, be sure to scroll down the page and check it out as well. It has MANY videos and pictures of Kameron's party and Sofia. The pictures toward the bottom show Tricia holding Sofia while she is wearing her new sporty baby blue t-shirt that declares "MY mom is HOT!!!" ha ha. My mom, Cathy, bought that for her and it is adorable. She also bought a shirt that asks the question, "does this diaper make my butt look BIG?" But overall I had a great day just being able to spend time with the cutest baby girl in the world and being able to see my wonderful big sis. (yes I love you too Missy Christy and Pam! I'm not forgetting you!)
Here is Sofia's closeup.
I thought that this smile was adorable.

Kameron's birthday and my party.

On Sunday, we had Kameron's 3rd birthday party at dad's house and we had a great time. We had ice cream cake and opened tons of presents..which he LOVED!!!! We played with water balloons and the slip n' slide as well as the big pool on the back deck!. And yes...most importantly I do have pictures for all of you because I know all of you are wanting and waiting for them. Oh, and I do have some video clips that I have uploaded of him opening presents and saying what day it is. Then, there are some videos of Sofia.

I also had some friends come over Monday night and we just hung out for a while. Ashley and Katie both came over and we went around town and played our guitars. SO here are some pictures.

I did redraw a picture of a Jonas Brothers emblem. This is a picture of both next to each other...the larger one is the one I did.

Here are a few videos of Kam and Sofia!

My 4th of July and my hair...

Well I had a pretty good Fourth of July. One the night of the third, Krista, our friend Alex, Krista's dad and I all went to watch the Lebanon fireworks up close at the park across from our neighborhood where they launch them. Before that, we went and saw Get Smart...a hilarious movie with Steve Carell as a secret agent. I didn't really do much celebrating on the day of the 4th, but more so preparing for Kameron's birthday this weekend. I went shopping with Missy and got him a snow cone machine with the cups and syrup and all the bells and whistles. I think He will love it! Then, last night Missy and I redecorated Kam's room for his birthday as well as made more playroom for him to have fun at home. He came over early this morning from his dad's house and saw it...and loved it! We went out to get breakfast around 9 today at the Waffle house and then I mowed the lawn....exciting chore huh? lol. I just listen to my music to pass the time by. Anyways, I have been growing my hair out for over a year now and thought I'd put up some pictures of just how long it really is now...I hope you enjoy! And as far as the picture of me in the hat goes....I think I look like Christy lol.

Tickets Today...For a concert and a Red's game!

I woke up this morning and talked with my dad after sending him an email about the concert tickets to go see The Jonas Brothers. Well guess what...?...He agreed that I could go and he bough the tickets this morning! I am going next month with my friends and I am really excited! The picture above and below show some pictures of the band.

Also, this afternoon I went over to Krista's house and helped tile their kitchen's backsplash and while I was there, I was invited to go to a Red's game! Dad agreed and the family and I went off to dinner and Krista and her dad and I went to the stadium to watch the game. The Red's lost due to a bad pitcher placement, but it was a close game and I had a great time!

This was Krista splitting a mexican fajita with me before the game.

This is a view of the field form our seats.

I went rafting today...and went lightning bug hunting.

Today was our scheduled canoe trip with the YMCA. I woke up and was ready to go when i got a call. Krista didn't feel very well , so she stayed behind...that was unfortunate news, but I made the best of my time with my sister Missy. We went in a raft instead of a canoe because of the water level being so high, and Missy and her Friend led our raft, and had an amazing time with all of the other teens. Afterwards, I hung out with Missy and Kameron at the YMCA and went to Kam's swim lesson and might I say...he is a GREAT swimmer! Oh, and as far as the Concert goes...Dad said maybe and I have a everything organized him him to review. I have my group, my ticket prices, location, and reviews, so Dad, if your reading...."Pleeeeeease yes yes!" I;m really looking forward to this!

Babysitting...a new car....and Krista's return!

Well, today was fun. I woke up early and just hung round the house for a bit and when Krista got back from church, I went over to visit. She made me a lovely bracelet on her ride home from Mexico! This is a picture of her making one below.
While is was over at her house, I noticed that her dad and mom were selling their older Buick for alittle over $2000 and it was in good condition. I had my dad go over and look at it because he himself had noticed it in the street and had asked about it yesterday. He took it for a test drive after inspecting it and asking MANY questions. It is a 97 Buick with over 100,000 miles but most of those were highway miles. It gets 32 miles a gallon which is better then most cars out there right now...and with gas so high...that would be a perk. It has blue leather seat, electric windows, seats and a CD player. The car is VERY roomy and is in great shape. The only concern was that this car might only last me 5 more years. And with my dad being so concerned about researching things before he buys them, he looked in the one place that can't let him down...Consumer Reports magazine...and they didn't rate this car very well at all. Some online car reviews on a couple of websites had decent reviews but some nasty ones about the car's problem history and future problems that it might have. So we decided that this car is great for now...but maybe not after 5 years....when my dad is retired and can't help financially with a new car when I'd need a new one. There are some great deals on Honda's and Toyota's out there but its a matter of time and price, along with quality. This car is a great opportunity that has fallen in my lap at the perfect time....but I think dad and I have some serious thinking to do.

Before all of that happened, Kameron was dropped off for a couple of hours of babysitting while Missy went to a church meeting for a missions trip to New Orleans. We went with dad to go see the car, and when we got back home, we watched Monsters Inc. and ate dinner. Later in the night was the REAL fun....Kameron had a bubble bath in my jacuzzi bathtub with TONS OF BUBBLES. there were sooo many bubbles and guess what???....I have pictures!

Kameron giving a cheesy smile!

A day to be tired...but a movie helps!

I woke up this morning and hit snooze on my phone and alarm clock multiple times like I normally do, but this time I hit it for over an hour! I did NOT want to get up. I went downstairs, ate breakfast and checked my email, but I was still tired. Usually breakfast does the trick but nothing was helping. I even had force out energy just to shower and that didn't help anymore than food did! I had 10 hours of sleep and I still couldn't keep my eyes open, but Dad had a suggestion to go and see a movie. We went to our local theatre and saw Wall*e, a movie about a long lost robot on Earth trying to clean the planet while all the life forms including humans were gone. Dad thought that it would be a good movie, but I had second thoughts. We watched the movie and I left there thinking...What was that???. Dad said it was "OK" but I for one thought it wasn't very good at all. It was a nice treat to go see a movie with my dad and get out of the house, but I found the movie just plain old boring. And since the characters were robots, they wouldn't talk except for the saying of names but that factor killed it for me. For a child, I think that this movie would be had to watch and keep their attention since everything is interpreted through actions. But don't let my review hold you back from seeing this Pixar movie...it did get great reviews from REAL critics. Here is the movie's poster.
As far as my sleep goes...I'm going to bed early and am gonna try to get enough rest to hangout with Krista tomorrow. She's back from Mexico but is tired herself and I can only bet she is napping right now. I would nap too but I don't believe in naps. ha ha. Not since I I'm not forced to take them anymore.

I'm also debating whether or not to get tickets to go to a concert by a favorite group of mine. They are known as The Jonas Brothers and they are coming to Cincinnati next month. I can get a $45 dollar ticket but then I have to include that factor that someone would have to go with me and all but, I;m still on the fence, It's the airing of their new CD "Little Bit Longer"...and they are premiering it on the tour before the CD even hits stores! Here is the group below.

Have a great weekend guys! I'll try to post pictures of our canoe trip but I don't know if I'll get any since I don't want to get the camera wet ha ha. I'll post later!
